A BRIEF HISTORY OF OUR CHURCH
June 1994 - Individuals from various denominational backgrounds began meeting together to form a new Protestant church in Marion Oaks.

October 1994 -Worship services began in the Marion Oaks Community Center.
​
January 1995 - The church held its Charter Sunday with 60 members.
​
June 2001 - The church broke ground on its church building.
​
November 2001 - The first service was held in the new church.
​
January 2002 - The new church was dedicated.
​
November 2002 - The Rev. Merle Dech became the first permanent pastor. Prior to this interim ministers helped conduct the services.
​
June 2006 - The Rev. Lamar Hunt became the churches co-pastor, sharing pastoral duties on alternating months with Rev. Merle Dech.
​
November 2009 - Our fellowship hall was dedicated and later named in honor of our first pastor, Merle Dech.
​
November 2011 - The Rev. Dr. David Wild became the church's pastor. He was greatly respected and much beloved. He died unexpectedly in July 2023.
​
February 2024 - The Rev. Dr. Douglas Kelchner was installed as pastor.
