OPERATION AGAPE

Operation Agape is the benevolence arm of our church.

Agape is a Greek word referring to the highest form of love and charity.  Within Christianity, agape is considered to be the love originating from God to mankind.  As Christians we are challenged to reach out to others and share God's love. Community Congregational Church has a "big" heart.

Every month we collect & deliver different non perishable food items for the Marion Oaks community food bank.

Here are some of the organizations "BEYOND OUR WALLS" to which we contribute. Examples are Interfaith Souper Bowl, Marion Senior Services, Stirrups N Strides Therapeutic Riding Center, Arnette House, Hospice, Salvation Army, Interfaith Services, Brother's Keeper, Dunnellon Boys and Girls Club, Community with a Heart.

Our church is also "home" for two Hispanic congregations that reach out to the Spanish speaking members of our community.
